I made the Puff Pastry Baked Brie from the cookbook. It took about five minutes to prepare. While it was baking I worked on removing the pomegranate seeds and slicing the pear. I served it during the holidays and it felt like a very fancy snack, but it was super easy. I used Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry and Montchevre Triple Creme Goat Brie because my daughter is lactose intolerant. In the video I mention that Rachel took Lactaid due to butter in the puff pastry. Not true! I looked at the ingredients and Pepperidge Farm brand is made with shortening so it is lactose free. Next time I will try Dufour Puff Pastry which is made with butter.Dorie Greenspan’s Dories Cookies.
Correction: Dorie does not mention the packaging for her cookies in the cookbook. That information was gleaned from a conversation Dorie had with Jessie Sheehan on the podcast She’s My Cherry Pie, which I highly recommend.
